Speeding express bus.
I want to agree with a writer who commented recently that there are express bus driver who drive very fast on the highway. I used to drive in my daughters kancil from JB to KL. The kancil will take some time to reach 120 kph. Yet after doing 120 there are many express buses that are able to overtake me easily. Perhaps because I was driving a kancil and will slow down to get out of their way.
In the case of the Bukit Gantang road accident it was more a case of sleeping bus driver rather than speeding bus driver. There were a few occasion when I have personally experience sleeping while driving. It was frightful. And the best solution was to stop and rest far a short while. That is possible if you are driving a private vehicle. When you are driving a public vehicle like an express bus preplanned stops will help driver get ample rest to continue with the trip.
Trying to cramp many trips in order to maximize income can prevent drivers from getting enough rest to do a good job. Although some driver will resort to overdose consumption...
